PREVIOUS DATES AND LOCATIONS FOR CONCRETE MOOSE
Concrete Moose are found in groups called Maggles. Maggles appear in the public parks of Thunder Bay, Ontario usually during the longest days of the year.
For those of you who are looking to bag your own Moose, we encourage you to bring along someone who is new to the City. Perhaps they haven’t been moose hunting before, and may enjoy the experience.
The other way to get a Concrete Moose is to get to know someone who has one and ask them for theirs. After all, Concrete Moose are made to be given away as gifts. So, give it a shot.
Below is a list of all of the Maggles that we know of:
June 21, 2009- Waverly Park had a Maggle of about 130 Concrete Moose
June 21, 2009- Vickers Park had a Maggle of about 135 Concrete Moose
June 23, 2009- Hillcrest Park had a Maggle of less than 10 Concrete Moose
October 17, 2009- Boulevard Lake on the North Side- Maggle of 110 Concrete Moose
June 22, 2010- Waverly Park- Maggle of 95 Concrete Moose.
June 22, 2010- Vickers Park- Maggle of 90 Concrete Moose.
June 24, 2010- Franklin Park, Maggle of 15 Concrete Moose.
June 22, 2011- 23 Maggles of Concrete Moose in various parks around Thunder Bay- from Westfort to Current River. 275 Moose in total.
June 22, 2011- 25 Concrete Moose were snapped up by people before and during distribution.
USING KIJIJI THUNDER BAY TO LOCATE CONCRETE MOOSE
For those of you who are looking for a Concrete Moose of your own, there is a great tool available for you to use. It’s an online classifieds website called Kijiji. It’s free to post an ad and free to reply. Right now someone who’s heading to Calgary is looking for a Moose. If you have one from last year, you may want to answer this ad and help these people out.

For those of you who want Moose, we encourage you to post “Wanted” ads on Kijiji- Thunder Bay under the “Art and Collectibles” section. Remember, to put the price as “free” but if you are willing to trade, you can add that in the comments section. This is where the Society will be looking for requests and if we have the chance to make a few more this summer, we’ll do our best to help people out.
